AND ONE

And One Biography

And One is a German synthpop band formed in 1989 by Steve Naghavi and Chris Ruiz. The band's early work was heavily influenced by Depeche Mode and other synthpop acts of the 1980s. And One's first album, "Anguish," was released in 1991, and featured a darker, more industrial sound than their later work.

In 1992, And One released "Metal Hammer," which marked a shift towards a more commercial sound and brought the band mainstream success in Germany. The album featured the hit single "Military Fashion Show," which became one of the band's most popular songs.

And One continued to release successful albums throughout the 1990s, including "Flop!" (1994), "Spot" (1996), and "9.9.99 9 Uhr" (1998). The band's live performances during this time period became known for their elaborate stage shows and visual effects.

In the 2000s, And One released several more albums, including "Bodypop" (2000), "Bodypop 1 1/2" (2002), and "Bodypop 2" (2003). The band's sound during this period became more electronic and less reliant on guitar.

And One continues to tour and release new music to this day. The band's most recent album, "Propeller," was released in 2020. Throughout their career, And One has sold over 2 million records and continues to have a strong following in Germany and other parts of Europe.
