Apoptygma Berzerk's first album, "Soli Deo Gloria," was released in 1991 and featured a mix of EBM and industrial influences. Their second album, "The Apocalyptic Manifesto," was released in 1998 and marked a shift towards a more synthpop-oriented sound. The album was a commercial success, and the band began to gain a larger following in Europe.

Apoptygma Berzerk's third album, "Welcome to Earth," was released in 2000 and featured a more polished and mainstream sound.
