The Force Dimension

The Force Dimension is a Belgian electronic music band formed in 1983 by Jean-Marc Lederman and Patrick Codenys. The band's music is characterized by its use of synthesizers, drum machines, and other electronic instruments.

The Force Dimension's early music was heavily influenced by the synthpop and new wave sounds of the 1980s, and they quickly gained a reputation for their catchy, melodic songs and energetic live performances. They released their first album, "Mechanics of the Brain" in 1986 and followed with "Dimension D" in 1988.

In the early 1990s, the band moved towards a harder, more industrial sound, releasing the albums "Power Surge" (1992) and "The Force Dimension" (1994). They also began to incorporate elements of techno and EBM into their music, which helped to establish them as one of the leading acts in the Belgian electronic music scene.

The band released several more albums throughout the 1990s and 2000s, including "The Inner Cinema" (1997), "The Force Dimension in Dub" (2000) and "The Force Dimension Live" (2003). They also collaborated with other notable electronic music acts, such as Front 242 and The Neon Judgement.

Despite a hiatus in the 2010s, The Force Dimension returned with new material in 2020, releasing the album "The Force Dimension in 2020" and have performed across the world. They continue to tour and release new music, and remain a popular and influential band in the electronic music scene.
