Leæther Strip Biography



Leæther is a Danish electronic band formed in 1987 by Claus Larsen. The band's early work was heavily influenced by the industrial and electronic music of the 1980s. Leæther Strip's first album, "Leather Strip," was released in 1988 and featured a more experimental and aggressive sound.

Throughout the 1990s and 2000s, Leæther Strip released several more albums, including "Soldiers of Fortune" (1989), "Advance" (1990) and "Science for the Living" (2002). The band's sound during this period became more experimental and diverse, incorporating elements of industrial, EBM, and electronic music.







In the 2010s, Leather Strip released several more albums, including "Re-Constructions" (2011) and "The Art of Breaking Apart" (2015). The band's sound during this period became more electronic, incorporating elements of techno and modern electronic music.

Leather Strip continues to tour and release new music to this day. The band's most recent album, "A Different Story" was released in 2020. Throughout their career, Leather Strip has been influential in the electronic and industrial music scene, known for their aggressive and experimental sound, politically charged lyrics, and incorporation of samples and unconventional instruments in their music. They are considered one of the most prominent and important acts of the Danish electronic scene, and their music continues to inspire many other artists today.
