Lescure 13

Lescure 13 Biography

The Belgian duo LESCAN 13 began experimenting with electronic beats and industrial sounds, blending them with their passion for dark wave and post-punk music. They quickly gained a following in the underground EBM scene, and in 1991, they released their debut album "Visions of Excess" on the German label Zoth Ommog. The album received critical acclaim for its raw and powerful sound, and established Lescure 13 as one of the most exciting new acts in the genre.

Over the next few years, Lescure 13 released a number of EPs and singles, as well as several more full-length albums, including "Electricity," "La Ville," and "The Last Days of Rome." Each release showcased the duo's evolving sound and style, as they experimented with different influences and techniques. They also gained a reputation for their intense and high-energy live performances, which often featured elaborate stage productions and intense visuals.

In the late 90s, Lescure 13 took a hiatus as Van Roy and Bens focused on their respective main projects, Suicide Commando and Stin Scatzor. However, they reunited in the early 2000s and released a new album "Lescure 13" in 2002. The album received positive reviews and the band went on tour to promote it.

After the release of "Lescure 13" the band went quiet again and it was uncertain if the band would release new music again. In 2018, Lescure 13 announced that they would be releasing a new album "The Return" and went on tour to promote it. The album received positive reviews and showed that the band had not lost their touch in the electronic music scene.

Today, Lescure 13 continues to be active in the EBM scene, with a dedicated fanbase and influence on the genre. Their music and live performances continue to be a force in the underground electronic music scene, and they are considered one of the most important acts in the history of EBM.
