The Neon Judgement Biography



The Neon Judgement is a Belgian electronic music band formed in 1981. The band was founded by Dirk Da Davo and TB Frank, who are the only constant members. The band's music is characterized by its use of electronic instruments and its mix of various musical genres such as new wave, post-punk and EBM.

The Neon Judgement released their debut album "Early Tapes" in 1983 and quickly gained a cult following in the Belgian and European music scene. They gained mainstream attention with the release of their 1986 album "TV Treated" which featured the hit single "Factory Walk".







Throughout the 1980s and 1990s, The Neon Judgement continued to release critically acclaimed albums such as "Hooked" (1987), "Too Dark to See" (1989) and "The Insult" (1991) and also released several EPs and singles. Their album "Silly Kids Games" (1994) marked a departure from their earlier sound and was considered a breakthrough success for the band.

In addition to their music, The Neon Judgement has been known for their elaborate stage shows and use of provocative imagery, which have been a staple of their live performances. They have also been known for their socially conscious lyrics, which often address political and social issues.

Throughout the band's career, The Neon Judgement has been credited as one of the most influential electronic music bands in Belgium, and has inspired a wide range of artists in the genre. They have also been known for their anti-establishment message and for their support of various charitable organizations.
