OOMPH! Biography



OOMPH! is a German industrial rock band formed in 1989. The band was founded by Dero Goi, Crap, and Flux, who are the only constant members. OOMPH!'s music is characterized by its heavy use of electronic instruments and its mix of various musical genres such as rock, electronic and metal.

OOMPH! released their debut album "Wahrheit oder Pflicht" in 1992 and quickly gained a cult following in the German music scene. They gained mainstream attention with the release of their 1994 album "Sperm" which featured the hit single "Fieber".







Throughout the 1990s and 2000s, OOMPH! continued to release critically acclaimed albums such as "Unrein" (1996), "Ego" (2000) and "GlaubeLiebeTod" (2010) and also released several EPs and singles. Their album "XXV" (2015) marked a departure from their earlier sound and was considered a breakthrough success for the band.

In addition to their music, OOMPH! has been known for their elaborate stage shows and use of provocative imagery, which have been a staple of their live performances. They have also been known for their socially conscious lyrics, which often address political and social issues.

Throughout the band's career, OOMPH! has been credited as one of the most influential industrial rock bands in Germany, and has inspired a wide range of artists in the genre. They have also been known for their anti-establishment message and for their support of various charitable organizations.
