Vomito Negro Biography



Vomito Negro is a Belgian electronic band formed in 1980 by Dirk Ivens. The band's early work was heavily influenced by the industrial and electronic music of the 1970s and 1980s. Vomito Negro's first album, "Flesh," was released in 1983 and featured a unique blend of electronic and industrial influences.

Throughout the 1980s and 1990s, Vomito Negro released several more albums, including "The Hammer" (1986), "Hit and Run" (1988), and "Survival" (1991). The band's sound during this period became more experimental and diverse, incorporating elements of industrial, EBM, and electronic music.







In the 2000s, Vomito Negro released several more albums, including "The New Order" (2003) and "Black Box" (2008). The band's sound during this period became more electronic, incorporating elements of techno and modern electronic music.

Vomito Negro continues to tour and release new music to this day. The band's most recent album, "The Future Is Now," was released in 2019. Throughout their career, Vomito Negro has been influential in the industrial and electronic music scene and continues to be respected for their aggressive and experimental sound. They were known for the use of electronic and industrial elements and their incorporation of samples and unconventional instruments in their music, as well as their live performances that often involve political and social commentary.
