à;GRUMH Biography

à;GRUMH... is a Belgian electronic band formed in 1981 by Peter Principle and Jean-Marc Pauly. The band is considered one of the pioneers of the Belgian electronic music scene, and is known for its experimental and avant-garde approach to music.

à;GRUMH... began as a duo, with Principle and Pauly experimenting with electronic instruments and incorporating elements of industrial and experimental music into their sound. They released their first EP, "The First Step," in 1983 on their own label, Play It Again Sam Records.

The band quickly gained a following in the Belgian underground music scene, and began to tour internationally. In 1986, à;GRUMH... released their first full-length album, "Seven Up," which featured a more polished and polished sound, and showcased the band's versatility and experimentation.

Throughout the 1980s and 1990s, à;GRUMH... continued to release critically acclaimed albums and tour extensively. They also began to incorporate elements of other genres, such as funk and hip-hop, into their music. In 1992, they released "A.N.D.," an album that featured a more minimal and experimental sound, and received widespread critical acclaim.

In the 2000s, à;GRUMH... continued to evolve and experiment with their sound, releasing a number of albums that incorporated elements of trip-hop, drum and bass, and other electronic music genres. They also began to incorporate more live instruments into their music, such as guitar and saxophone.

Today, à;GRUMH... is still active, and continues to tour and release new music. They have been credited with influencing a generation of electronic musicians and their impact on the electronic music scene is still felt today.
